If you’re very lucky, you might catch a glimpse of World War II veteran Reg Imray, a true petrol head through and through. Born on 8th April 1922, he’s owned 168 vehicles since 1941.
A former Silverstone car racer and speedway rider, Reg has travelled the world and won over 200 trophies for his classic car and motorbike collection – most of which you’ll get to see at The World Of Country Life. Vin Diesel, eat your heart out!
Mass produced between 1908 and 1927, we’ve got a genuine Model T Ford in black.
Compact and micro cars aren’t new. We proudly exhibit a Meschersmitt KR200, a classic bubble car model which was manufactured in the 50′s and early 60′s.
Princes William and Harry had one – we’ve got one too. This child size Aston Martin cost £10,000 brand new.
Did you know? Our vehicles are available to loan to TV and film companies – you may have seen….
We welcome school group visits from local schools around Exmouth, Exeter and in Devon. The World of Country Life can provide a rewarding balance between educational activity and adventure play.
From investigating mini beasts in ‘Nick Nature’s’ bug hotel to learning about the history of motor vehicles in our Hall of Transport, World of Country Life provides a rich environment for a wide range of curriculum linked learning outside the classroom experiences.
