Another Era
Showman's Engines were used by travelling circuses and fairs to provide power and transport. We've got 3 Showman's called Candyfloss, His Majesty and Gladiator. Gladiator is our largest engine, weighing in at 18 tonnes - that's the same weight as 6 big hippos!
TV Fame
Our steam engines come from another era, but many are still operational and even make the occasional appearance in period dramas such as ITV's Downton Abbey.
Only Two In Existence
Our collection includes the exceptionally rare Roboe steam lorry -
of which there are only two known to exist.
